A small but growing group of online services have begun offering artists the opportunity to pay for access to industry insiders. Startup eMusicBlast.com sells direct feedback from working A&R professionals.
For $49 per review, demos are sent to the A&R person, DJ or producer of the artist's choice. They promise the execs will listen to each demo and provide at least 30+ words of written feedback. Producers and A&R executives on the list include producers and A&R staffers from labels including Concord, Bad Boy, Curb and Asylum.
