Last month. music discovery service Exfm announced that it was shutting down. "The technical challenges are compounded by the litigious nature of the music industry," the NYC based startup said in a statement announcing its own demise. Yesterday, the Exfm team announced that, for now at least, the service woul remain available. In an email to users, the company wrote:
"Hey everyone, I’m happy to let you all know that we will NOT be shutting down Exfm today. The outpouring of love and support from you all has truly been amazing. Over the last month, many of you have written to tell us how much you love Exfm and asked if there was anything you could do to help keep the service alive. We’ve been working hard and talking to lots of people to find a way forward. While we continue to explore all our options around potential partnerships, we want to keep Exfm going.
