Facebook will begin testing its answer to the group buying craze, Facebook Deals, with local offerings starting today in Austin, Atlanta, Dallas, San Diego, and San Francisco, The company expects to expanded to other cities in the coming months.
Users can learn about Facebook Deals through e-mail, by clicking on the Deals tab on a Facebook home page, and through the News Feed when friends like or buy a deal. Group buying on Facebook has huge potential to sell concert tickets and music related physical goods.
