Just as the industry starts to limit freemium music, a new marketing tactic is gaining traction – deep discounts. Spotify is offering 3 months for $.99 and Google has just added a Play Music family plan that lets 6 family members subscribe to both Google Play Music and YouTube Red together for $14.99 a month.

Google's family plan includes the same features of individual music subscriptions including ad free, unlimited access and the ability for each family member to stream simultaneously.

Families can sign up for a Google Play Music family plan in the coming days on Android devices in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, France and Germany, with more countries coming soon.

Google Play Music is available on Android, iOS and the web.
