Google has been enhancing music related search in recent months highlighting links to tracks and videos; and a new search feature makes it much easier for fans to discover and buy tickets for live shows. Available on desktop, mobile and within the maps app, Google Search now highlights show info drawn directly from Ticketfly, Ticketmaster, AXS and other major ticketers.  Studies have shown that more than 40% of tickets are unsold due to lack of awareness.

How Google Search Will Help Sell More Tickets

The new Google Search feature highlight live music in a variety of ways:

google ticketsArtist Schedules: When fans type the name of their favorite artist into Google, they’ll get a list of concert dates and venue details right at the top of their screen.

Venue Events: When fans type in the name of a venue, their screens will populate with a calendar of upcoming events and details including on-sale dates and ticket availability.

Easy Ticketing: A link to ticketing will appear next to artist, venue and event search results so buying a ticket is always just a click away.

Dates from these ticketers are already displayed in search results: Ticketmaster, TicketWeb, Ticketfly, AXS, LaughStub, Wantickets, Holdmyticket, ShowClix, Stranger Tickets, Ticket Alternative, Digitick, See Tickets, Tix, Fnac Spectacles, Ticketland.ru, iTickets, MIDWESTIX, Ticketleap, and Instantseats.

Ticketing companies and official artist sites can be included in search results by following Google's evert markup rules here.
