Grassroots No Creeps! Movement Becomes the Music Safety Alliance

The Music Safety Alliance officially launches on July 21 as a nonprofit org. dedicated to safety, inclusion, education, and workplace standards.

A new nonprofit organization dedicated to improving safety and workplace standards across the music industry is set to launch this month.

The Music Safety Alliance (MSA) will officially launch as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on July 21, expanding the grassroots No Creeps! movement into a national organization focused on creating safer, more inclusive environments for artists, songwriters, producers, engineers, executives, crew members, and other music professionals.

According to the organization, the Music Safety Alliance was created to address longstanding gaps in workplace protections and consistent safety standards across the music industry through education, advocacy, practical resources, and the development of industry best practices.

Rather than responding to individual incidents, the nonprofit aims to provide preventative tools and collaborative solutions that can be applied across recording sessions, tours, writers' camps, showcases, and live events.

The organization builds on several years of advocacy through the No Creeps! initiative, which has brought together music professionals through educational programming, industry partnerships, and community events. As a nonprofit, MSA says it will expand those efforts through new educational resources, grant-funded initiatives, and broader partnerships across the industry.

Among the organization's first planned initiatives are a Session Safety Checklist, Sustainable Creativity Workshop, Burnout Prevention Toolkit, and a Studio Certification Program, all designed to help establish practical safety resources for music professionals.

The Music Safety Alliance launches with support from a number of industry partners, including Warner Music Group, She Is The Music, Keychange U.S., Women In Music, The 100 Percenters, and TuneCore.

Leading the organization are Executive Director Katie Tucker, Director of Marketing & Partnerships Gillian Driscoll, Director of Programs & Community Hazel Rose Kleingrove, and Director of Creative & Production Georgia Hutton.

The nonprofit says its work will center on three core pillars: developing practical resources and educational materials, advocating for stronger industry standards around safety and inclusion, and building community through workshops, networking events, and the continuing No Creeps! event series.

The Music Safety Alliance officially launches July 21, with additional information about its programs, partnerships, and educational resources available through the organization's website.
