This week, festival promoters Goldenvoice acknowledged a 6 month long "unauthorized and illegal third-party intrusion" into the Coachella and Stagecoach music festival databases.

As a result, they are offering individuals that may have been affected by the incident, which was reported in the media several weeks ago, and offering one year of complimentary identity protection services. From September 2016 to February 2017, an unauthorized third-party gained access to the festivals' sites collecting the personal information of some customers, including their first and last names; Coachella.com usernames; email addresses; birth dates; phone numbers (if provided); mailing addresses; and driver's license numbers, passport numbers, or other ID.There is  no indication that customer payment or financial information, or passwords were accessed, according to the promoters.
