Some senior execs at Sony BMG’s Columbia Records are the latest to suffer the effects of declining music sales. Sources have predicted that 40-70 mid-level managers within the Sony BMG label groups would be forced to leave before the ends of the year. Thus far they include:

- Gary Fisher, Video Promotion
- Maggie Wang, Publicity
- Tom Muzquiz, Publicity
- Ron Wilcox, EVP Business & Legal SonyBMG
Rumors continue of deeper cuts at SonyBMG and Geffen. This follows earlier layoffs we reported of 100 at RealNetworks and Universal.
