More Layoffs: Epic, Last.fm, Alliance, IDN

- Long rumored layoffs at Epic Records have begun…(Billboard)
- In May of 2007 CBS bought bought Last.fm for $280 million. Yesterday they layed off 20 members of its 95 person staff calling the move further "integration".
- Deep staff cuts continue at independent distributor/one stop Alliance Entertainment. Sources have it’s Innovative Distribution Network shutting down entirely leaving a number of indies homeless. Parent company Source Interlink hinted at further trouble during an earnings call yesterday and the company’s stock hovered around 20 cents a share.

the guys had no problem to pay $280 millions and now they have to safe 1 million a year. wow!
