iTunes, Labels, Publishers, 38 Top Acts Waive 100% Of Royalties On “Songs for Japan” Benefit Album
To show support for the people of Japan, 38 top selling artists from Dylan to U2 to Gaga, along with their record labels and publishers are waiving 100% of royalties for "Songs for Japan", a compilation of hits and classic tracks available on iTunes for $9.99 starting today. iTunes is also waiving their distribution fee and will feature the album prominently on its sites worldwide. Proceeds will benefit the disaster relief efforts of the Japanese Red Cross. "Songs For Japan" tracks:
