Previously only available in beta, TuneGo has announced the official nationwide launch of the artist discovery platform complete with a new tier, TuneGO Premium, enabling artists to access the tools, personal guidance, and connections necessary to truly advance their music careers.
TuneGo sets an unconventional stage for artists to find and connect with fans, secure licensing deals, distribution and media exposure, while also getting their music in front of and reviewed by esteemed industry producers. TuneGO's Producer Network includes industry greats such as Desmond Child,Ron Dante, Peter Asher, and John "Jellybean" Benitez, among others. The company has also inked distribution and licensing deals with APM Music, Rdio, Slacker Radio, Spotify, and other partners.
"TuneGO is taking a new approach to the music business, helping artists get a leg up in ways never thought possible and essentially bringing decision makers right into the artist's home," said John "JellyBean" Benitez, DJ and executive producer of Studio54 Radio on Sirius/XM Radio. "I spent years trying to break through when I first started out in the industry and would have killed to have access to a platform like TuneGO."
TuneGo is powered by a proprietary scoring system called TuneGo Score that measures the popularity and relevance of music and individual artists, ultimately assisting in predicting breakout musicians. Artists are scored on social activity, crowd-based song reviews, music activities (including live shows played and existing distribution deals), industry partner data, and professional music reviews from the TuneGO Producer Network.
"The music industry is at a crossroads, with new artists lost as to where to begin, and more established talent not knowing where to go in order to further advance their careers," said Desmond Child, legendary producer and songwriter who has worked with Bon Jovi, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, and many others. "There may be plenty of DIY one-size-fits-all platforms, but there is no platform in the world that personalizes the career development experience based on the specific goals and aspirations of each individual artist."
TuneGO aims to change that with TuneGO Premium by offering artists the following features:
- ArtistRx™: The world's first digital career development roadmap, ArtistRx provides artists step-by-step instructions on how to advance their music career, based on the defined goals and ambitions of each individual. No other company or platform in the world offers a roadmap that is personalized for each individual artist, based on their own input and defined aspirations.
- Artist Insights: Artist Insights provides a comprehensive view of fan engagement and song performance with detailed real-time reporting and analytics across multiple platforms (TuneGO, Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, and YouTube) around followers, views, votes, shares, and comments for each song, demographic makeup of fans, and a geographic heat map of fan engagement.
- TuneGO Connect: Powerful suite of technology tools that connects artists, bands, and musicians with fans on multiple platforms and social networks, plus industry influencers, producers, and entertainment companies. Features include the Fan OutReach private messaging system for artists and bands to connect with new music fans; A&R Connect, enabling members to connect with industry A&R reps from major and independent labels; and Artist Discovery, ensuring artist visibility through inclusion in a fully browsable directory on TuneGO.
- Access to TuneGO Producer Network: TuneGO Premium members are eligible to connect directly with producers for ArtistRx analysis, song reviews and feedback, one-on-one coaching sessions, in-studio sessions, music production and, eventually, artist sponsoring to major labels and other avenues of distribution.
"Artists today find the cards stacked against them in the music industry, even with all the distribution and social media services out there," said John Kohl, Founder and CEO, TuneGO. "Our platform creates an entirely new music experience for artists, giving them legitimate opportunities to connect with big names in the industry, and also fostering the intimate artist-to-fan relationship that is difficult to cultivate online."
