headphonesReverbNation has announced a strategic partnership with boutique music services firm Hitcher Music to generate film, television, video game and advertising opportunities for select artists on the ReverbNation roster.

The announcement follows recent ReverbNation alliances with Sentric Music for music publishing and SESAC for performing rights representation.

Under the agreement Hitcher Music will exclusively represent artists chosen for ReverbNation's newly launched artist development incubator CONNECT to create film, television, video game and ad opportunities for their music.  CONNECT develops select artists in ReverbNation's community of 4 million musicians who have been identified through a proprietary curation-at-scale capability.

"As we continue to bring CONNECT artists meaningful opportunities to grow their audience and increase their visibility within the music industry, we believe that Hitcher Music can play a vital role in the development of our artists' careers," said Simon Perry, ReverbNation's Chief Creative Officer.

Founded in 2012 by film & TV executive Joe Rangel and music publishing & management firm Pulse, Hitcher is an LA based boutique music services firm specializing in licensing, supervision, marketing and original music production.  Recently the company has licensed independent and major label artists into such films as PITCH PERFECT 2, ENTOURAGE, such television shows as "Empire" and "The Vampire Diaries," and delivered music to brands including Bud Light, Coors and Acura.
