Apple MusicEarlier this week, Apple announced that Apple Music has 6.5 million paid subscribers. 1. Apple pays $0.00 to artists for using their songs. Screw Apple, may they burn in hell with Hillary Clinton.

  2. What are you talking about @FEG? They all pay – 10 times more to sound recording owners than songwriters and publishers, but they pay. It’s the owners of the sound recordings (aka labels) that aren’t paying out to artists. It’s called “recoupable expenses,” and labels will write off every single expense against an artist’s royalties. It’s called the record business, and they’ve been doing it that way for 50 years.
