Pure Volume Music Discovery Site To Shut Down
After 15 years as a destination for independent music discovery, Pure Volume is shutting down. The announcement was made via a pop-up on the site.

Launched in 2003, PureVolume was an online platform created for the discovery and promotion of new music and emerging artists. It offered artist-created profiles and streaming music and optional free downloads. Fans could also create profiles to interact with artists and each other, as well as, share music.
Pure Volume was one of six music sites purchase by BuzzMedia in 2011, along with Hype Machine and Pop Matters. In August of 2016, Hive Media purchased the site.
