Spotify’s Head Of Music Is Stepping Down

Spotify new rectangleNick Holmsten, Spotify’s ling time head of music, will be stepping down from his post and will transition to an advisory role across several areas of the company.

Jeremy Erlich, who recently joined as head of music strategy from Interscope Records, and Marian Dicus, who currently serves as VP, Global Head of Artist & Label Services, will oversee the music department during the company’s search for a successor.

Nick Holmsten

Holmstén joined Spotify after the company acquired the startup he founded, Tunigo – and its music discovery technology – in 2013. Previous to his role as Global Head of Music, Holmstén headed up Shows & Editorial at Spotify.

He took on responsibility for Artist & Label relations following the departure of Spotify’s Global Head of Creator Services, Troy Carter, a year ago.
