The Guitar and Stringed Instruments Auction organized by NITO to raise funds to lobby for government help on behalf of the independent music community has added some impressive new items.

Ani Difranco, Joan Baez, Stephen Stills, Blue Oyster Cult, Conor Oberst, and Zakk Wylde have joined the growing list of artists donating signed items to the auction.

The auction launched on December 3 and will now conclude on Monday, December 14. It’s open to the public and will help The National Independent Talent Organization raise funds for their ongoing effort to give voice to the needs of the small, independent live touring industry in Washington D.C.

Previously-announced contributions include George Benson, Leon Bridges, David Bromberg, Mike Doughty, Fall Out Boy, Steve Forbert, Tom Higgenson / Plain White T’s, Jack Johnson, Will Kimbrough, Mark Knopfler, Sonny Landreth, Tommy Lee, Nick Lowe, Steve Martin, J Mascis, John Mellencamp, Pat Metheny, Jim Miller, Thurston Moore, Graham Nash, Tim O’Brien, OK Go, John Petrucci, Bonnie Raitt, Nathaniel Rateliff, Bill Reynolds, Joe Satriani, Chris Smither, Los Straitjackets, Lars Ulrich, Steve Vai, Kurt Vile, The War On Drugs and Weezer.

“We’re honored to contribute a signed Fender guitar to the NITO live auction. Our industry relies on so many small businesses to make even one show possible,” said Adam Granduciel, The War On Drugs.
