Money Man took his $1M Empire Records advance entirely in Bitcoin

Increasingly Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, the blockchain, and NFTs are moving past novelty status and into the music industry mainstream.

Independent label EMPIRE announced their “first cryptocurrency artist payment” – a $1 million advance to Atlanta rapper Money Man paid entirely in Bitcoin.

Going all-in on the crypto theme, tomorrow 11/12 Money Man will release a new album and title track called “Blockchain.” He also leads a group of 40,000 discussing cryptocurrencioes on Telegram.
