Web3 ‘Proof of attendance’ startup POAP has raised $10M to mint shared memories as NFTs. POAP hopes to expand on its recent successes by using NFT’s to build more active communities and award participation like taking part in an event or going to a concert.

For example, a POAP user could scan a QR code to received an NFT memento that could unlock admission to an online community plus future perks and drops.

Afterparty has announced what is says is the “World’s First NFT-Gated Art and Music Festival” at AREA15 in Las Vegas, NV, March 18-19 celebrating live the NFT art movement with immersive experiences

The festival will be produced in partnership with Life is Beautiful and Kaaboo executives; NFT art creative directed by NFT artists Nate Mohler and Alec Maassen. Sia, Jaden Hossler, Nadya Tolokonnikova, and Paul Klein among first creators to live-mint “all-access” NFTs.

Autograph, the NFT agency co-founded by athlete Tom Brady with a star studded board that includes The Weeknd and Apple’s Eddie Cue has closed a $170M Series round. The goal is to attract more top celebrities and their fans into he world of crypto collectibles.

DOOMSDAYX announced a pre-seed round of $1.5M along with an NFT project in partnership with artist Haleek Maul. The Producer NFT Collection gives fans a front-row seat and select governance rights on creative and marketing decisions for an upcoming music video.

DOOMSDAYX is building tools and experiences top create new ways for fans to come together around artists, contribute to projects, and change how the economics are distributed. The DOOMSDAYX team is led by co-founders Danielle Hinde (Head of Creative) and Eric Doak (CEO).
