Rock and Roll Hall of Fame names 2022 nominees including 7 for first time [VIDEO]

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland has revealed the 17 nominees to be considered for induction in 2022 including seven who are on the list for the first time.

The final list of inductees will be announced in May 2022 with the official induction ceremony in the Fall.

“This year’s ballot recognizes a diverse group of incredible artists, each who has had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture,” said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “Their music not only moved generations, but also influenced the sound of countless artists that followed.”

Bruce Houghton is Founder and Editor of Hypebot and MusicThinkTank and serves as a Senior Advisor to Bandsintown which acquired both publications in 2019. He is the Founder and President of the Skyline Artists Agency and a professor for the Berklee College Of Music.
