Uppbeat raises $6.15M to sell YouTube, TikTok, Twitch creators royalty free music

Uppbeat has raised $6.15 to sell royalty free music to, TikTok, Twitch YouTube and and other content creators. In its first year for the UK startup says it surpassed 500,000 users.

Current pricing is $99 for three years or $199 for a lifetime subscription.

Uppbeat plans to add new features that will enable creators to curate and share playlists offering users a more networked experience with Uppbeat’s community of artists.

Following the launch of its sound effects and clips library, Uppbeat also plans to add visual and audio assets to provide a one-stop-shop for YouTubers and other social media content creators.

Bruce Houghton is Founder and Editor of Hypebot and MusicThinkTank and serves as a Senior Advisor to Bandsintown which acquired both publications in 2019. He is the Founder and President of the Skyline Artists Agency and a professor for the Berklee College Of Music.
