Downtown acquires Curve, the royalty processor for ADA, Cooking Vinyl, Ingrooves, Essential & more

Downtown Music Holdings has acquired Curve Royalty Systems. Cooking Vinyl, Essential Music and ADA, and many other independent music companies use Curve for royalty processing.

Curve is the latest in a long string of acquisitions by Downtown including FUGA and CD Baby, alongside investments in Beatbread, Vampr, and other creator-led music companies,

Founded in 2019 by Tom Allen, Richard Leach, and Ray Bush, Curve will continue to provide royalty services to its existing clients while integrating with the distribution and monetization capabilities that operate across Downtown.

Curve already serves over 1000 labels and publishers and processed nearly $1 billion of revenue across 2.3 billion lines of data in 2022 alone. Other Curve clients include the Domino Recording Company, Hospital Records/Songs in the Key of Knife, Epitaph Records, Warp Records, Ingrooves, Mad Decent, MRC, Royalty Solutions Corp., Cal Financial, Alta Fonte and more.
