Myxt has launched its audio file management platform alongside seed funding of $2 million led by Accel and Quiet Capital to support the development of its centralized audio workplace.

VNUE‘s live music streaming platform StageIt is expanding its reach in the international market, partnering with Full Option in Saudi Arabia to develop live and taped music performances originating from Saudi Arabia to a worldwide audience.

Public Pressure, the international Web3 media company has expanded into music with new London-based division headed up by Stephen King. Public Pressure Music will oversee all activities related to music (including its collaborations with the fashion and gaming industries), IP management and content acquisitions related to the Public Pressure marketplace, which is the company’s platform for the sale and purchase of NFTs. King joins Public Pressure from his previous role as UK Managing Director of Believe, a position he held since 2010.

Qobuz, the high-rez music streaming and download platform, is continuing its international expansion with a launch this week in Canada, its 26th country after Northern Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in 2021, and Latin America in 2022.

ASCAP has promoted Gabriela (Gaby) González to Senior Vice President, International Affairs and Latin Membership. 

Claire McAuley has been promoted to the new role of EVP of Global Rights Management at Warner Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group.  She will remain based in London and report to Carianne Marshall, Co-Chair and Chief Operating Officer of WCM.

Bruce Houghton is the Founder and Editor of Hypebot and MusicThinkTank, a Senior Advisor at Bandsintown, President of the Skyline Artists Agency, and a professor for the Berklee College Of Music.
