Which AI tools are most popular with musicians and producers?

AI for music was one of the year’s hottest topics. But which AI tools are musicians and music producers using the most? The team at the recording studio and rehearsal network Pirate took a survey to find out.

According to a recent survey of 1000 musicians, 25% already incorporate AI into their studio work, and 72% of those report positive experiences.

They also asked at which stage in the music-making process AI was most useful and 30% said songwriting and composition, followed by research and inspiration (21%), beat and rhythm creation (12%), and mastering (10%).
