US accounts for 9.9% of global music piracy
After years of decline, global music piracy is rising again by double digits, and the United States accounted for 9.9% of all illegal activity.
The US ranked third after Iran at 11.8% and India at 11.5% of pirate traffic, according to a new study by Muso.
Stream rippers, which enable users to download audio from YouTube URLs, account for over 40% of pirate traffic for music websites.
