Songtradr continues Bandcamp Friday with a more limited schedule

While Bandcamp Fridays will no longer be monthly, new owner Songtradr is continuing the indie platform’s tradition of waving their revenue share on select days to give 100% of funds to the artists and labels.

Bandcamp Fridays started during the depths of the pandemic in 2020 and have resulted in millions of fans paying over $120 million directly to labels and musicians.

In the remainder of 2024, Bandcamp Fridays are scheduled for six dates: April 5th, the 40th Bandcamp Friday on May 3rd, September 6th, October 4th, and December 6th.

90% of sales on Bandcamp Fridays come from fans who regularly purchase music throughout the year, and fans “follow” artists at three times the rate they then on a regular day.

Bandcamp says that they serve 5 million artists and over 47 million fans.
