Johan started in the business as a songwriter and music producer, winning ten Platinum awards.

Most recently, Johan was Global Head of Catalogue at Spotify. Prior to that, he worked at Warner Music, since they acquired X5 Music Group, a business he co-founded in 2005 and led as CEO until its sale in 2016.

He serves on the boards for and co-founded Corite and Starmony and was previously a board member of the IFPI (International Federation Phonogram Industry).
