Bruce Houghton Talks Touring, American Music Fairness Act & More

Bruce Houghton from Bandsintown, Hypebot, the Skyline Artists agency and Berklee joins Michael Bandvold and Jay Gilbert on a new Music Biz Weekly Podcast to talk about touring, the American Music Fairness Act and more.

Houghton shares how Skyline Artists is closing down after 35 years. Together they dive into the the new realities of touring and he offers his advice to artists.

The three also dive into the American Music Fairness Act which would require US terrestrial radio stations to finally pay the performers of the songs broadcast. Right now radio only pays the songwriters and not the actual performers. Internet radio and streaming pay both.
