Guest Post from PledgeMusicThe 58th annual Grammy Awards are coming up on February 15, 2016 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, a celebration of another stellar year in music. The incredibly diverse range of this year’s nominees show how artists continue to push boundaries and pursue excellence, and we’re thrilled that a number of PledgeMusic artists were among those honored. Here’s a closer look at this year’s nominees we’ll be cheering for in February.

Best Arrangement Instruments & Vocals: Catina DeLuna & Lado BCatina DeLuna and her band of talented players, Lado B, collaborated with Otmaro Ruiz for a successful debut earlier this year with PledgeMusic. Their version of “Garota De Ipanema” earned them their first-ever Grammy nomination.

Best Metal Performance: SevendustSevendust were honored for the first time this year as a Grammy nominee for Best Metal Performance for “Thank You,” the lead single from the band’s most recent release ‘Kill The Flaw.’

Best Traditional R&B Performance: Lalah HathawayLalah Hathaway, one of the famed Daughters of Soul, picked up a Grammy nomination for her recording of “Little Ghetto Boy.”

Best Recording Package: Still The King: Celebrating The Music Of Bob Wills And His Texas PlayboysRay Benson and company have won an amazing nine Grammys for various Asleep At The Wheel projects, and their latest might earn them a tenth! Their latest project, an album to honor the legacy of the great Bob Wills, is nominated for Best Recording Package.

Best Regional Music Album: The RevelersThe Revelers make Louisiana proud with their infectious concoction of zydeco, swamp pop, cajun and Americana flavors. It also earned the attention of The Academy’s Voting Members with a nod for Best Regional Music Album.

Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album & Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals: Patrick WilliamsFamed composer Patrick Williams recently earned two Grammy nominations for his latest project, ‘Home Sweet Home,’ one for Best Large Jazz Ensemble and another for Best Arrangement. The latter was specifically for the song “52nd & Broadway”, which featured Patti Austin’s vocal work. Patrick already has two previous Grammy wins.
