The 11th Americana Music Awards Show and independent labels and artists dominated. Award winners were:
- Gillian Welch (Acony Records) – Artist of the Year
- Dave Rawlings (Acony Records) – Instrumentalist of the Year
- The Civil Wars (sensibility music) – Duo/Group of the Year
- Alabama Shakes (ATO Records) – Emerging Artist of the Year
- Jason Isbell “Alabama Pines” (Lightning Rod Records) – Song of the Year
- This One’s For Him: A Tribute to Guy Clark (Icehouse Records) – Album of the Year
The Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to
- Bonnie Raitt (Performer)
- Booker T. Jones (Instrumentalist)
- Richard Thompson (Songwriter).
