Meta and Instagram are talking aim straight at Twitter with the launch of Threads, a new app to “share ideas and trends with text.” The app has launched in 100+ countries, but the EU rollout has been delayed over privacy concerns.
Meta said that 10 million users signed up for Threads in the first 7 hours.
Since many musicians and creators already have significant followers on Instagram. The connections between the two apps and audiences could make Threads an attractive new social platform, particularly as Twitter struggles to find its footing.
