Help wanted

Facebook is slowly creating a music department.  While far from a rush of hiring, two help wanted postings point to the social media giant finally considering its longstanding problem with music licensing.

A September job posted for Director of Global Music Licensin remains unfilled, and a newer jobs post has appeared seeking a music focused Product Manager. Minimum qualifications for the job include:
  • "Understanding of music and video rights and copyright law"
  • "Familiarity with YouTube’s Content ID"
