Facebook and Instagram are rushing to be more like TikTok, but a confident TikTok is taking a different approach. It wants you to share the content created there to be shared everywhere.

TikTok has confirmed to TechCrunch it’s rolling out a new sharing feature that makes it easier for users to publish their TikTok Stories to Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Reddit and other networks.

Facebook and Instagram parent Meta is fighting back.

Meta pointedly told its creators that it would prioritize “original content” on Reels on Instagram and Facebook and said that its algorithms will be scanning for watermarks – like the one TikTok adds to all its videos.
