Just days after Jay Z completed the purchase of music streamers TIDAL and WiMP, he's consolidated the brand under the TIDAL moniker, announced a global expansion and is planning a star studded relaunch event for Monday.

TIDAL, the HD music streaming service that Jay Z purchased just last week, today announced that it is live in a total of 31 countries and preparing to launch in an additional six.

TIDAL is now live in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, South Africa, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Singapore, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, France, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Turkey, Sweden, Romania, Slovenia, Greece, Cyprus and Malta.

The service will also launch in Poland, Australia, Hong Kong, Quatar, United Arab Emirates and Germany before the end of the second quarter 2015.

Monday Launch Event

Details are also starting to leak about a star studded launch event for TIDAL's official U.S. launch next Monday March 30th. Jay Z is expected to host the New York City event along with other top tier artists adding exclusive audio and video content to TIDAL.
