Live Nation CEO Gets A Raise
Live Nation has amended CEO Michael Rapino’s employment agreement extending it through 2031. It keeps his $3 million annual salary, adds a $17 million target cash bonus starting in 2027, and grants a $20 million upfront stock award.
Rapino's target annual compensation is 70% performance-based, 25% time-based equity, and 5% salary.
Emporium's Steinberg & Zink Leave Live Nation
In more Live Nation news, veteran concert promoters Dan Steinberg and Jason Zink are leaving the company at the end of 2026 after eight years.
This will end their Emporium Presents’ operation as part of the concert giant. They will remain with Live Nation through the end of the year before a six month non-compete period.
Steinberg and Zink shared their plans in an interview with Decibel’s Dave Brooks. and say they have not decided their future plans.
Romeo Joins Reliant
Reliant Talent Agency has announced that Michelle Romeo has joined the company as Corporate Agent.
The former co-owner of if fair and event bookers Romeo Entertainment Group, Romeo brings more than two decades of experience in talent buying and live entertainment to her new role.
NIVA partners with Great American Beer Festival
The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) has announced a partnership with the Brewers Association’s Great American Beer Festival, the nation’s premier craft beer celebration
The two-day festival moves outdoors to Denver’s independent live music venue, Levitt Pavilion, a NIVA member. On October 10 and 11, NIVA will present the “Live Independent” Mile High Stage as an event sponsor for GABF, featuring performances by Low Cut Connie and Próxima Parada.
The partnership is part of NIVA’s Live Independent certification program launched in partnership with Bandsintown.
