Midem 2016 Moves Dates… Again

International music industry mega-conference Midem today announces that its 50th edition has moved to June 3-6. The Cannes based event had previously been scheduled for June 7-10.

International music industry mega-conference Midem today announces that its 50th edition has moved to June 3-6. The Cannes based event had previously been scheduled for June 7-10.

Earlier editions of Midem had been held for decades in January, prior to moving to late June in 2015. After attendance fell last year, Midem announced the shift to earlier in June.

“Given that our aim is to bring together all the key industry players from around the world for this 50th edition, on a date to suit our clients in the Americas, Asia and Africa, as well as across Europe, we felt an adjustment to the dates would better meet this goal,” Jérôme Delhaye, Director of Reed MIDEM’s Entertainment Division said by way of explanation.
