But some of the folks behind Bonnaroo are taking a very different approach, pairing designer cocktails mixed by "spirit guides" with music.

Bonnaroo c0-promoter Superfly Entertainment is launching a series of alcohol-infused events, offering cocktails, food and music.

Dubbed Cocktail Magic, the events are set for Washington D.C.'s Dock S on March 12; Weylin B Seymour's in New York City on March 19th; The Castle At Park Plaza in Boston on March 26th and Morgan MFG in Chicago on April 1st.

Cocktail experts Julie Reiner and Andy Seymour have signed on as the 'spirit guides' for the event, and Brooklyn mentalist Vinny DePonto has assembled a team of illusionists for entertainment and bite-sized servings of food will be provided by Roberta's of Brooklyn.
