• Fix The Tix, a broad coalition of music industry stakeholders including NIVA and NITO, has called on Congress to strengthen the TICKET Act (Transparency in Charges for Key Events Ticketing).
The group is pushing for more robust measures to combat predatory secondary market practices including spec ticketing and deceptive websites. They also urge lawmakers to include stricter scalping bot and unauthorized resale enforcement in the legislation.
• Nashville-based independent booking agency New Frontier Touring has added veteran agents Jon Bell, Mark Lourie, Thomas Ponsart, and Liz Kenny along with 40 artists.
The four come from Madison House after a shakeup that saw MH boss Adam Bauer and Jennaya Ramirez join Dynamic Talent. New Frontier is owned by long-time Nashville agent Paul Lohr.

• StubHub (NYSE: STUB) disclosed a massive $1.9 billion net loss for 2025, driven by $1.4 billion in one-time stock-based compensation related to its recent IPO and a $479 million non-cash valuation allowance. It generated $9.2 billion in Gross Merchandise Sales (GMS)—a 6% year-over-year increase—and achieved an Adjusted EBITDA of $232 million.
But real problems lie ahead in the form of pending federal and state legislation in CA, NY and elsewhere that would put tight restrictions and caps on ticket resales.

• Seatfun, the ticketing and event management and marketing platform, launched its full mobile app this week.
Based in Nashville and Cincinnati, OH, the company was founded by CEO Daniel Mastropietro and COO Josh Misko in 2025. The platform is calling itself a "human-first" alternative.
