FanTiger raises $5.5M for NFTs, fan communities
Music NFT marketplace and fan community builder FanTiger and parent company ArtistFirst Technology have raised $5.5 million in a seed round led by Multicoin Capital.
The round saw participation from Krafton, Pravega, GAMA, Woodstock, IOSG, Polygon Studios, Sandeep Nailwal (Co-founder Polygon), Gokul Rajaram, Prashant Malik and Miten Sampat.
Founded by Prashan Agarwal, ex-CEO of music service Gaana, and Krishna Singh, FanTiger empowers Independent Artists to build fan communities on the platform to help shape their career using music NFTs. Fans can buy music NFTs to get access to an exclusive Artist community, earn rewards and special privileges like exclusive content, meet-n-greet opportunities, backstage access, etc. Artists can use the proceeds from the sale of music NFTs for song creation, production, video and also can commit up to a certain percentage of the royalty from the song to the fan community for marketing the song.
Tamago + $1M + Felix Da Housecat + Paramida + Tiga
Web3 audio streaming platform Tamago has announces $1M in seed funding via Block0, Move Capital, Daedalus, Human Guild, and Big Brain Holdings.
They are announcing this alongside some key news on artist and label side –
- Chicago house music icon Felix Da Housecat will be releasing a full album exclusively on Tamago in October and plans to do multiple 1 of 1 NFT drops throughout the year on the platform.
- Panorama Bar resident Paramida is also set to announce that she will be uploading the entire back catalog of her Love on the Rocks label. She will also be doing an exclusive NFT drop on Tamago in June. The drop will feature an unreleased track bundled with an all access guest pass to all dates on her upcoming sold out US tour.
- Tiga has also committed to an NFT drop this year and his Turbo Records will begin uploading their back catalog to the platform next week
Tamago uses hybrid technology to create a new revenue feature for artists where they can get paid for their streams transparently. Each 1 of 1 is actually a single or collection of tracks that users can not only stream, but buy and add them to their profile for other users to listen to.
These are essentially playlists of music that the buyer can monetize based on the royalty structure decided on by the selling artist.
VRYNT to drop influencer driven ORIGINS NFT card packs 6.1
VRYNT, a community-driven web3 platform to create unique NFTs with their favorite social influencers, is launching its first-ever collection – ORIGINS – on June 15.
Through the viral gamification of NFTs, VRYNT offers influencers, celebrities and brands a powerful tool to engage their audiences and generate value for all participants in the ecosystem in unprecedented ways.
As VRYNT CEO Scott Brown explains: “To unleash the true potential of NFTs, we designed VRYNT to allow social influencers to create a deeper connection with their audiences by unlocking the creativity of the community, at the same time allowing the community to participate in the economic success of the social influencer.”
“The VRYNT interface is designed to be an easy to use onramp for the majority of the world who is not yet familiar with blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs. They should expect a high quality, world-class, visually appealing interface that naturally guides them through the process of participating in a collection,” says Oisín Lyons, VRYNT’s operation and community lead.
After minting the unique designs into NFTs, users can then trade them on VRYNT’s own marketplace.
