Musician and manager Blasko is on tour as the bassist for Rob Zombie. But he also has a management company to run.
He joins his Music Biz Weekly podcast co-host Michael Brandvold to discuss life on the road and how he manages to maintain his business while travelling and performing.
"Every day is a different day and it's not an easy thing to do," says Blasko. "Granted, not everybody has a management business. (But) there's a lot of people that are in bands of various sizes that are operating mobile businesses."
He shares strategies for staying productive, including his mobile office backpack with essential tech gear. The pair also reflect on the differences between touring in the 1980s and today, noting the advantages of modern technology for connectivity, but also increased expectations for constant communication.
