As live music crawls out of lockdown, booking and gig marketing startup Muso has raised $2 for international expansion.

Muso previously raised $1.5 million in a 2019 seed round and is already eyeing an international Series A round next year.

The company will use the funding to expand from its Australian base into New Zealand, the UK,  and beyond.

Launched in 2018 as a marketplace for emerging musicians to find live gigs, Muso now includes a platform that connects venues, booking agents, and artists to book and manage gigs including payments and automated promotion.

In the last four years, Muso has coordinated more than 10,000 shows for 5,000 artists in 500 venues.
