Rounding out this week on Music Think Tank, we have two new posts that are worthy of a click through. Next, Johnathan Ostrow, co-founder of MicControl and author of The Musicians Guide To Fan-Funding, comes back with a lucid and insightful post about how to turn your fanbase into a tribe. Whether you look to the Insane Clown Posse (the Juggalo), the Grateful Dead (the Deadhead), or Jimmy Buffet (the Parrothead), there are sub-cultures and communities that exist beyond the band, and John provides insight into how tribes work and why they matter in music circles.
