Just ahead of Wednesday's launch of iTunes Radio, the head of Nokia's music effort has stated that Apple's entry is likely to increase consumer interest in all msuic streaming. "It's good to see the launch of Apple's radio service," Nokia Entertainment's vice president Jyrki Rosenberg said in a statement. "iTunes Radio joining the space can only help drive awareness and uptake of music streaming. The momentum in the market is really building."

We firmly believe that personalised streaming services, such as our own Nokia Mix Radio, are the future of music discovery. Nokia Mix Radio has been offering an ad-free, offline enabled, global music streaming service on Nokia Lumia devices for a couple of years now."
