5 weeks after launch, 9 million have signed up for a 90 free trial of Apple Music's $9.99 subscription service. Another 2 million are trying out its $14.99 family plan. "We're thrilled with the numbers so far," Eddy Cue, Apple's SVP of Internet Software and Services, told USA Today.
That means that about 10% of Apple iTunes users have signed on for the free test despite a major media blitz.
The real stat to watch is how many 90 free day trials convert to paying customers.
