England's Oxford University has banned Spotify form the campus. The reason given was that the school's servers couldn't handle the bandwidth drain according to TechCrunch EU.
The move is surprising given that Spotify offers a free and legal alternative to the file-sharing that campuses have been fighting for years. And apparently Oxford's ban came without warning. “I was shocked when I realized there was a total ban,” said one first year student.
