Pandora Passes 200 Million Users, 100,000 Artists Played Monthly

Pandora now has 200 million registered users in the U.S., according to number released by the company this morning. That's twice the 100 million registered users it had in July of 2011, six
years after launch. Mobile continues to drive growth with more than 140 million listeners having tuned in to Pandora on a mobile device.

Last month, Pandora says it played more than 100,000 unique artists and more
than 1 million unique songs making it an increasingly important revenue stream for artists. But it's a source of income that Pandora says it need to cut to ever become profitable.
