Playster Signs With WMG, Sony, Orchard To Add Music To Multi-Channel Streaming Package, UMG Is Lone Holdout

[UPDATED] Playster, the so-called "Netflix of everything" has signed deals with several major music groups to add music to its monthly multi-channel streaming packages which also includes audiobook, games and movies.

Media streaming service Playster has announced streaming licensing deals with Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and The Orchard.

UPDATE: MBW incorrectly reported on Friday morning that a UMG deal is also in place. But a Playster spokesperson tells Hypebot that no deal has been completed with the globe's biggest music group.

The "completely revamped" Playster music section is powered by b2b music provider 7digital.Playster bills itself as an all-in-one entertainment steaming portal where unlimited access to music ($9.95), books and audiobooks ($9.95), movies ($3.95) and games ($4.95) via custom iOS and Android apps, as well as through any web browser.
