The 10 artists and albums vying for Canada's most prestigious music award, the Polaris Music Prize, were named today. This 8th annual award, which honors the best album of the last year, will be determined by an 11 member jury of music journalists and broadcasters and announced during the Polaris Gala at The Carlu in Toronto on September 22.
