Clear Channel has announced another direct licensing deal, this time with dance music label Robbins Entertainment. Founded by veteran urban record exec Cory Robbins, company's artists included Afrojack, D.H.T., Cascada¹s and DJ Sammy.
While details were not release, direct deals are generally lower than statutory digital rates now, but artists to share in all of Clear Channel¹s radio
revenues.
This new agreement with Robbins follows deals with Big Machine Label Group, Glassnote Entertainment Group, DashGo,
rpm Entertainment and Naxos. Each one has been a setback for performing rights organizations like SoundExchange who see strength in a unified industry approach.
