Robby Towns, founder of the NestaMusic consultancy, has been named hte new Community Manager
of NARM's digitalmusic.org. Towns, who is based in Nashville, will replace former Billboard Magazine music tech writer Antony Bruno,
who is leaving to focus full-time on his content consulting business.

After stints at KPMG, The Orchard, Audible Treats, and as a Market Research Analyst at Columbia
Records, Towns founded NestaMusic in 2010, a consultancy focusing on strategy,
research, and new media initiatives in the music industry.

“We first worked with Robby when he wrote our white paper ‘MetaMillions:
Turning Bits Into Bucks for the Music Industry Through the Standardization of
Archival and Contextual Metadata,’ and we’re thrilled to be bringing him on
to work with us,” said Bill Wilson, VP of Digital Strategy &
Business Development for digitalmusic.org.

“New technologies are completely changing the game in the music
industry, and it’s great to be working with a company like digitalmusic.org
that not only recognizes that but embraces it and pushes the business forward,”
said Towns.
