Though the official release date for Rock Band 3 has yet to be announced; it has been confirmed that in the newest addition to the EA/MTV/Harmonix's franchise, a keytar is being added to the instrument mix. The game will 83 songs from 83 bands; it also will support for the rest of the Rock Band library online.
